Popeyes Arrives in Belfast
The wait is over: Popeyes has officially opened its doors in Belfast, marking the brand’s first-ever location in Ireland. The new restaurant, located at Forestside Shopping Centre, welcomed massive queues on launch day as eager fans lined up to try the world-famous Louisiana-style chicken.
Known globally for its crispy fried chicken, buttery biscuits, and bold Cajun flavours, Popeyes has built a cult following since launching in the U.S. in 1972. Now, Belfast diners can finally get a taste of the brand’s signature chicken, served up with their iconic Cajun fries, gravy, and that viral chicken sandwich.
The new Forestside store brings a vibrant, fast-casual dining atmosphere, offering both takeaway and dine-in options. Guests can enjoy a menu packed with flavour, including buttermilk chicken tenders, loaded sides, and even a full breakfast menu — featuring Cajun hash browns and the Big Cajun Breakfast Roll, served daily from 8am.
