Monsters Have Invaded Belfast City Centre!
Belfast’s skyline just got a monstrous makeover!
This Halloween, keep your eyes peeled as giant inflatable creatures take over the city centre, popping up on rooftops, peeking out of windows and looming above your favourite shops.
From CastleCourt to Victoria Square, the city has been transformed into a playground of quirky, colourful creatures.
Monster Mayhem Returns to Belfast
Back by popular demand, Belfast One’s Monster Mayhem has returned bringing 10 huge inflatables to life across the city’s most iconic buildings.
From Sinclair House on Royal Avenue to CastleCourt, Corn Market, Victoria Square and Donegall Place, these installations are impossible to miss..
Each year, the monsters help bring a burst of energy (and colour!) to Belfast’s bustling shopping streets, boosting footfall for local businesses and adding some serious Halloween fun for everyone.
Meet the New Monsters
This year’s lineup is extra special, featuring five brand-new creatures alongside returning fan favourites.
Keep your eyes out for:
Kevin – Evil eyes and haunting hands at Sinclair House
Nosey Parker – Peering from O’Neill’s in CastleCourt
Groaner – Growling above the O2 Store on Castle Lane
Tentáculos de los Muertos – A cluster of tentacles bursting from Arts Ekta on Fountain Street
Howler – Watching over Urban Outfitters at Victoria Square
And of course, familiar favourites are back - including Mr Snappy, Slime Monster, Goofy Eyes and Grim Fingers, who have once again taken over McDonald’s Donegall Place.
A New Cultural Twist: Día de los Muertos
This year’s Monster Mayhem also celebrates the cultural side of Halloween.
In partnership with Arts Ekta, Belfast One invites visitors to experience Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations with a vibrant light show and immersive art projection on Olive Tree House, Fountain Lane.
As night falls, the “Tentáculos de los Muertos” come alive, mixing traditional Mexican influences with local Halloween fun.
